Neurotoxin intervals: why sooner is not better
Chasing every returning line shortens your interval over time. How to space treatment so results hold longer.
Neurotoxin softens the muscles that fold the skin above them. As it wears off, movement returns gradually — and the temptation is to rebook the moment the first line reappears.
Treating too early keeps the muscle in a permanently suppressed state and, for some patients, shortens how long each round lasts. It also makes it harder to judge where dosing should actually change.
For most patients, three to four months is the right rhythm. If your result is fading at eight weeks, the answer is usually a dosing adjustment at the next visit, not an earlier appointment.
We review the first treatment at two weeks specifically so the second one can be planned properly. That single review appointment does more for longevity than any change of product.
